Authors. Masters and doctoral students enrolled in NASPAA member programs are encouraged to submit original manuscripts for publication in the Pi Alpha Alpha Student Online Journal. Authors do not need to be members of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honorary Society. Manuscripts may be co-authored provided that each author is a current student in a NASPAA member program. 

Manuscripts. Manuscripts may not exceed 8,000 words or 30 type written pages, double-spaced, exclusive of notes and references. Please put all attachments/appendices into one document, set on profile (not landscape). 

A short author biography must accompany each manuscript. Submission of a digitized photo of the author is optional. If the article is co-authored, one author must be identified as the contact person. 

Each submission must have a faculty sponsor and the sponsor’s letter of support must be sent with the manuscript.

Mail three copies of the manuscript to the Pi Alpha Alpha National Office, 1029 Vermont Avenue, NW, Suite 1100, Washington, DC 20005 and send one electronic copy (Word preferred) to paajournal@naspaa.org. 

Review Process. Submissions are reviewed by a student editorial board of masters and doctoral candidates in NASPAA member programs. Papers are selected on a rolling basis. 

Authors will be notified of the editorial board’s decision via email. Accepted manuscripts will be published immediately upon receipt of the completed license to publish. 

License to Publish. No article will be published until a completed License to Publish is received in the Pi Alpha Alpha office. Click here for the License to Publish.
